From the outside, the Coach House Hotel looks beautifully historic. It was built primarily of local flint and has been well maintained by the family who run the establishment. Meanwhile inside, the hotel has been refurbished to a high standard to offer guests a top-notch experience.

The restaurant is spacious, meaning there’s room for all party sizes, whether you’re gathering with friends and family for a special occasion, or are simply after a romantic dinner for two. Traditional British fare makes up the majority of the menu, with dishes created using ingredients from the local harvest. Everything is made by head chef Chris Jones and his knowledgeable team in the new kitchen, which was designed specifically to meet Chris’ needs. Age-old favourites include the beer-battered fish and homemade chips, steak and ale pie, and the Sunday carvery, which comprises a choice of meat accompanied by all of the expected trimmings – homemade Yorkshire puds, stuffing, roasted potatoes and seasonal veg. Alternatively, look to the bar menu for lighter options like jacket potatoes and sandwiches with a great choice of fillings.

When the weather is sunny, guests can make the most of the five-acre garden and pretty courtyard – complete with a central water fountain – and relax in the sun before retiring to the Coach House Hotel for a delicious meal and a good night’s rest.
