Templars Hotel & Restaurant
At Templars Hotel & Restaurant guests are made to feel right at home thanks to an easy-going atmosphere and a warm welcome from the friendly team. The 21 bedrooms are cosy, and there’s an outdoor seating area that’s ideal for summer. Guests can find their own spot in which to unwind, whether it’s enjoying a meal in the spacious restaurant, playing pool or darts in the laid-back sports area, watching an all-important match on the two TVs or relaxing with a pint.
Templars caters for everyone who walks through the door. The food offering is varied and includes light options such as baguettes, jacket potatoes and weekly specials. Late risers will be pleased to know breakfast is available until 2pm. If indulging in a three-course meal, you may wish to start with prawn cocktail, homemade soup of the day or chicken salad. Main dishes comprise the likes of hand-battered fish of the day, liver, bacon and onion, and a selection of delicious pizzas. Look to the famed Temple burger – two 8oz burgers with bacon and Monterey Jack cheese – for a lip-smacking challenge. Be sure to treat yourself to a homemade dessert – the peanut butter cheesecake and Oreo brownie are favourites. If you’re planning to visit on a Sunday, Templars serves a traditional roast alongside the normal menu.
The monthly events such as discos, local live bands and karaoke, and BT Sports and Sky Sports draw the crowds in, and the back of the venue can be hired for private functions. Templars Hotel & Restaurant really does have everything under one roof.
