The Three Tuns is a quintessential Georgian inn residing in the stunning village of Ashwell. High ceilings, beautiful fireplaces and a cosy lounge-style bar area make for a comfortable and relaxed dining space, while the beautiful garden, patio and raised terrace is the place to be in warmer months.
Chef-patron Andy Hunt is the visionary behind the ever-changing seasonal menu, which boasts a host of flavoursome British classics and reinterpreted favourites. From prime-cut steaks and locally sourced fish, to delicious vegetarian and vegan options, you’re guaranteed to find a dish that will tantalise your tastebuds. To complement the food, there’s an extensive wine list, a range of cask ale and a spectacular selection of gin and premium spirits from around the globe. On Monday you can even bring your own bottle of wine with no corkage fee.
The inn caters for wedding receptions as well as smaller private functions including buffets, barbecues and hog roasts. The Three Tuns has three well-appointed letting bedrooms complete with double beds and en-suite facilities, so you can stay awhile and unwind. There’s also a private customer car park to the rear, making The Three Tuns the perfect en-route pit-stop.
