The Queens Head
The Queen’s Head in Tolleshunt D’Arcy, where Sue, Richard and Chris welcome you to enjoy some of the finest cooking in and around the region, is a perfect example of the traditional village pub. The pub boasts a beer garden with an epic children’s playground, and a bouncy castle in summer months. The separate snug area is perfect for quiet drinks. The snug was featured in CAMRA’S Inventory for Historic Pub Interiors, and has hardly changed in 100 years. The bar offers a great selection of beer, including Abbot ale, London Pride and a great IPA, and four different types of lager.
The menu showcases fresh, seasonal produce, which features both British and European cuisine, including a great selection of steaks, and the all-time favourites such as steak and ale pie, lamb’s liver, beer-battered cod and much more. You simply must try the traditional Sunday roast. You’ll find a choice of freshly roasted meat accompanied by all the classic trimmings. Push the boat out and upgrade your roast with tasty extras like cauliflower cheese and leek and bacon – you won’t regret it. Desserts change regularly but are always served with custard, cream or ice cream – keep an eye on the dessert board to find out what’s on offer when you visit.
