Town councillor Philip Pope began his career at Floods at age 14 as a humble glass collector before working his way up the ranks to the top spot that he holds today. Since Philip took over this bar and eatery in 2013, he has successfully refurbished the pub without taking away from the character and heart of this historical Grade II listed building, with its original exposed wooden beams and brickwork. Philip has thrown open the doors of his family-friendly eatery to offer customers tasty traditional food with a modern twist, against a beautiful riverside backdrop.

Guests are welcome to visit and try the grill specialities - think locally sourced rib-eye and premium quality homemade burgers served in soft brioche buns - as well as beloved British classics such as hunter's chicken, fish and chips and sausage and mash. Sit by the warming log fi re in the winter, or during the country's treasured summer moments have your meal outside and take advantage of the riverside garden bar while you're at it. You could also visit to listen to the live music entertainment that showcases local talent, sampling one of the Elgood's Brewery real ales or a chilled glass of wine as you do so. Floods can also accommodate your own events, from summer balls to private birthday parties. After you finish your meal, you can hop back on your boat, which can be moored at the bottom of the garden, or stroll off to explore the historic market town of St Ives
