Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
At lunchtimes, the attentive staff serve reasonably priced favourites such as jacket potatoes and baguettes. The evening menu consists of traditional hearty meat, fish and vegetarian meals, which are as luxurious as they are unpretentious. Diners can choose from starters like tiger prawns or Brie and asparagus crostini. After sampling lamb cutlets in mint gravy and a perfectly cooked mixed grill we were already planning our next visit so we could try the speciality sausages of the day or rich stuffed peppers. We also didn't want to miss the heavenly desserts, including Belgian waffles and Chocolate Fantasy.
Thankfully the locals aren't the only lucky ones; The Three Horseshoes is easy to get to, has a large car park and is well worth making any journey for.
