Ford Street, Aldham, Nr. Colchester, CO6 3PH
The Old Queens Head is located in the picturesque village of Aldham, close to the River Colne near Colchester. The interior has been sympathetically decorated and furnished to provide an informal atmosphere in which to enjoy a refreshing drink - don't miss the guest ales - or a celebratory meal. There is a large patio to the rear of the building, which is perfect for dining outside in the warm summer sunshine.

This beautiful country pub was recently taken over by Stuart and Isla Kaye, whose aim is to turn it into one of the area's leading dining destinations.

As well as a seasonal à la carte menu of modern European cuisine, the kitchen team offers fantastic set price and traditional pub lunch menus. Pop in on Sunday for a superb roast and look forward to options like roast rib of Dedham Vale beef and slow-roasted leg of English lamb, with homemade ice cream or sorbet for dessert. There's also a takeaway menu so you can enjoy warming pub classics from the comfort of your home.

The Old Queens Head is a dog-friendly venue; your four-legged friends are made very welcome and are even given complimentary doggie treats
