Brentwood Brewery
Traditional

Expertly brewed to suit all tastes, Brentwood Brewery’s range of real ales is available in shops, pubs and restaurants throughout Essex, including many featured in this guide. The brewery is also proud to produce house beers for some of the county’s most prestigious pubs and restaurants.
Since starting production in 2006, Brentwood beer has been winning awards and gaining fans around the world. The Essex microbrewery is run by a family with a passion for making and drinking the finest craft beer. A wide range of quality real ales in cask, keg and bottles is available online and from the brewery shop. Visitors to the brewery’s bar, The Tap Room, can expect a warm welcome and a choice of draught beers.
The Tap Room and Brewery Shop are open six days a week. Brewery tours, usually held on the first Saturday of the month at 11am and 1pm, are so popular that extra tour dates often have to be added to the calendar. Tickets cost £14, which includes a pint and a free gift, and must be booked in advance by calling the brewery. Gift vouchers for Brewing Experience Days are also available.
Food is available at the White Horse in Coxtie Green, their Brewery Tap. As well as offering beer festival services, Brentwood Brewery is now an established beer festival venue, hosting several beer festivals throughout the year. All Brentwood beer is now gluten-free and bottled ales are vegan-friendly too. Brentwood Brewery won LUX Life’s national award for best gluten-free and vegan-friendly beer producers in England 2019.
In 2018 Brentwood Brewery won the Society of Independent Brewers’ National Brewers in the Community award. Keen to be green, the brewery recycles spent grain and hops. Allotment holders use hops as a soil improver and local farmers use the grain for cattle feed. Spent grain is also used to produce luxury hand-made dog biscuits, which are sold in the brewery shop. Great-tasting Brentwood beer is available throughout Essex, London and the UK. It is now being exported across the globe.
