The Old Moot House
The charming village of Castle Hedingham is home to The Old Moot House, a delightful bistro dating back to the 15th century. Families, couples and groups of friends all assemble here to enjoy fantastic food and drink in a delightfully convivial ambience. Pop by and treat yourself to afternoon tea, or go the whole hog and indulge in a three-course feast. The à la carte menu features a plethora of tempting options, such as grilled sea bass with a herb crust atop courgette ribbons, and braised lamb shank with balsamic and red wine jus. On Thursdays you’ll find a tapas menu with sumptuous plates like sautéed scallops served with chorizo, asparagus and chilli flakes. The team also caters for private parties, small weddings and outside events, so get in touch if you’ve got a special occasion coming up.
