Horse and Panniers
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
You can eat out on the terrace or in the intimate restaurant area and choose from a good range of hearty meat dishes, plus an imaginative collection of fish, poultry and specials - all reasonably priced. Even when the kitchen is closed, staff will happily rustle you up a Spanish ploughmans.
If you love prawn cocktail, you must come and experience it here. Served the way it should be; big, juicy prawns and salad in a Martini glass, lime on top, creamy thousand island dressing dribbling down the stem and tiny slices of pepperdew peppers providing an extra kick.
We enjoyed a fresh bowl of Italian salad, with sun dried tomatoes and slices of Parmesan cheese, and a succulent medium fillet steak, with sweet potatoes, blue cheese, roasted figs and seasonal vegetables - a curious and tangy combination.
We finished up with a fruity summer pudding, beautifully presented with a sprig of mint, and a luscious apple and raisin compote with a home-made biscuit lid and base, with cream.
With refreshed vision and quality cuisine, The Horse and Panniers should be your next indulgent destination.
