The Dining Room
Chinese and East Asian
The first is the interior, which is styled in minimal black and white with modern furnishings, juxtaposed with classic low wooden beams. The Dining Room's magnificent menu includes imaginatively put together dishes which are brought to life with expertly selected herbs, spices and textures.
To start, the ostrich was tender, beautifully presented and impossibly flavoursome. In fact, all the dishes are delivered with a flourish and sit picture-perfect on the plate. The special Wednesday menu sees a sharp palate-cleansing sorbet served between the courses, and the main event is certainly worth preparing for. The chicken stuffed with asparagus was creamy and delicious and portion size is far from an issue. Adventurous souls can try the kangaroo, while those preferring a more traditional Indian dish can make their request and the capable chefs will be happy to cater to off-menu inclinations.
Complete with friendly, knowledgeable and passionate staff - with a chef who knows how to impress - The Dining Room is a must-visit eatery offering tasty food with a twist.
