The George Coleorton offers everything you could hope to find in a traditional village pub, with freshly cooked food, real ales, a great atmosphere and friendly, engaging staff. Choosing what to eat proved a real challenge here, as the menu is packed with tempting offerings. It was with little surprise, then, that each course proved an occasion in itself. We began with enjoyable starters of mulled poached pear and honey-glazed ham hock terrine, followed by their famous fish and chips and succulent grilled salmon with Welsh rarebit. Few can resist the tempting dessert menu and our choice of decadent chocolate orange cheesecake and deliciously rich lemon crème brûlée did not disappoint. Whether it’s a light lunch, hearty Sunday roast or a fantastically filling evening meal, the team at The George Coleorton understands how to keep its customers happy.
