Now in its tenth year, Tangoe attributes its ongoing success to experimenting with bold combinations and ensuring high-quality ingredients are consistently used. With creative vegetarian cuisine making up the entirety of the menu, it's worth perusing carefully before you order, as many of the dishes feature an intriguing twist. Although firmly based in the culinary traditions of southern India, the menu incorporates many of the flavours and styles common in Chinese cooking, especially those of Szechwan.

The aubergine dishes are simply outstanding, especially the melt-in-the-mouth dry-fry, and the paneer certainly lives up to its gorgeously crumbly reputation. The Chinese cabbage and carrot dumplings in Manchurian sauce serve as a wonderful winter-warmer, with strong spices marvellously complementing the subtle flavours of the dumplings. The puri bread is a revelation - and evidence of a clear understanding of the depth of flavours achievable in the kitchen. Certainly the depth of flavours present throughout the menu will ensure that even devout carnivores will be pleasantly surprised - perhaps even converted.
