Standing at the centre of Riddings, The Moulders Arms feels like the hub of the village. The pub is known affectionately as 'The Thack' amongst local patrons due to its lovingly kept thatched roof. Whether you live in the village or hail from further afield, you will be met with a sincerely warm welcome from the pub regulars and the owners, Craig and Jo.

The oak-beamed bar offers an ever-changing range of guest ales; on our visit all four on offer were brewed in Derbyshire. If you're after a light bite to eat, great-value bar snacks are served all day - perfect to enjoy with a drink. The main menu and specials board feature homemade, hearty pub classics served in ample portions. Despite such generous servings, you won't be able to turn down the homemade 'Thackwell' tart and custard - we certainly couldn't. Sunday lunches are also available, including home-cooked roasts, and you can get three courses for less than £10.

Craig and Jo ensure The Thack is always busy; there are poker evenings, a quiz night every Thursday, and the skittles team play on Tuesdays. Various weekend entertainment nights, including a visit from an Elvis impersonator, are also planned. Filled with community spirit and old-fashioned good cheer, a visit to The Moulders Arms is guaranteed to lift anyone's spirits.
