Thai Square – Minories
The well-established Thai Square Restaurant group’s journey began back in 1996, when the first restaurant opened at The Strand in London. Since then, the group has deservedly gone from strength to strength and now boasts 13 venues in and around the capital, all of which support the Thai community in the UK.
Great-value dining and beautifully presented dishes are all part of the concept that sees customers return time and time again. At each award-winning venue, modern, authentic plates are served in Thai-inspired surroundings for lunch, pre-theatre meals and dinner. Thai ornaments and artifacts enhance the stylish, modern interiors. Although the interiors and menus vary from restaurant to restaurant, one thing that stays the same is the relaxed ambience coupled with first-class service.
The menus are divided into seafood, curries, noodles, stir-fries and salads. Authentic ingredients are hand-picked and sourced from Thailand to enhance the fresh flavours that Thai cuisine is renowned for. Take your pick from a range of delicious starters such as traditional tom yum soup and crispy butterfly prawns before moving on to mains. Notable dishes, prepared with care by the Thai chefs, include massaman curry, prawns with garlic and pad Thai. Thanks to the wealth of choice, there are plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians, such as spring rolls and papaya salad. If you’re indecisive, let the set menus, starting from £8 per person for a two-course lunch, take care of your decision-making. Pre-theatre set menus start from £14.50 for a three-course meal. A good choice of beer, wine and Champagne all accompany the tasty fare. Plans to expand the Thai Square Group further are in the pipeline – keep your eyes peeled.
