Oakfield Place, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 2BJ

There’s no venue in Bristol more suited to celebrating spring and summer than the Lido. Situated in the heart of Bristol’s leafy and affluent suburb, Clifton, the Lido is perhaps best known for its stunning Victorian swimming pool, but the award-winning poolside restaurant and bar is one of the city’s greatest culinary treasures. Whether you love the Lido for its 24m outdoor heated swimming pool and spa that will leave you feeling refreshed and energised or its Mediterranean-inspired dishes which will wow you with their flair and exciting flavour combinations, this spring, there’s even more reason to get excited.

New Kitchen Team

Spring is a season of great change and positivity, making it the perfect time to reenergise things at the restaurant with a lively and passionate new kitchen team. Since the Lido first opened way back in 2008, Bristol’s foodie scene has evolved significantly and now proudly stands as one of the UK’s finest culinary destinations. In order to keep up with the competition and stand out in the crowd, it’s more vital than ever that Bristol’s restaurants and bars know how to stay relevant, and the Lido’s new kitchen team ensures the restaurant does just that.

Having searched far and wide for a new kitchen team that can match the exceptionally high standards customers have come to expect and even move things forward, the Lido is confident they have assembled the very best guys for the job.

Led by experienced chef James Nathan, who has worked at a number of high profile restaurants including Rick Stein’s Padstow flagship, the new kitchen team are excited to share their sensational and bang-up-to-date new menu with diners across the city. With an emphasis on healthy, great tasting Mediterranean food, as well as introducing even more exciting dishes for Bristol’s many vegans and vegetarians than ever before, spring dining at the Lido has never tasted so good.

Brand New Sauna Opening Soon

Built where the old terrace restaurant area was, after weeks and weeks of hard work, Bristol Lido’s new sauna is almost ready to be introduced to the public. Although sacrificing nearly 30 bar/ restaurant seats for this space, the beautifully furnished new spa will allow more people than ever before – twice as many in fact –  to get to experience the truly fantastic spa offering for which the Lido is famous.

Just Stage One of their plans, Stage Two will see the Lido increasing the capacity of their steam room in its current location. This is set to take place towards the end of 2019/ beginning of 2020.
