Based on the picturesque Berkshire – Hampshire border, the Honesty Cookery School is owned by cookery writer Romilla Arber, who wanted to create a tranquil place where people could expand their horizons through food skills. Courses are varied and include quick South East Asian dishes, vegetarian Middle Eastern dishes, and a talk from Bake Off finalist Christine Wallace, plus much more.

Chocolate and wine enthusiasts: here is your perfect day. Discover the art of petit fours chocolate making at the stunning grounds of the Vineyard Hotel & Spa. In French, petit fours directly translates as ‘small oven’ and is used to refer to bite-sized confectionery. The Vineyard’s talented pastry chef will guide you in making a selection of these, as well as how to pair them with the perfect wine!

The travelling Pizza and Prosecco Festival is heading to Reading in October, celebrating the happy marriage of two great staples in life. Expect over 20 types of Prosecco to try, blankets and heaters, guilty pop pleasures and, most importantly, a wide variety of pizza pop-ups. Everyone has a different taste in pizza, right? Pizza comes in all shapes and sizes, and you’re free to explore them all here!

The UK’s only travelling rum festival is coming to Reading. Though the weather outside won’t be Caribbean sunshine, a dose of spiced rum and ginger beer will warm your bones. Over 100 different rums will be showcased, and you’ll be able to sample as many as you like with your Rum Festival glass which you can take home! Expect lots of dancing, and talks from industry experts.

Another boozy festival for your autumn calendars, the Woking Gin Festival is bringing over 120 gins from all around the globe to the Berkshire town of Woking. A gin-themed goodie bag will be yours to take, including a gin bible, a tasting card and a glass so you can sample the finest gins and without any cost to the environment! You can also expect cocktail demos, talks and even a virtual reality gin distillery!
