Our friends at The Balmoral have launched a new and exciting menu, which we’re rather intrigued to sample.

It forms part of a collaboration with Mark Beaumont, Perthshire-born adventurer and advocate for leading a healthy lifestyle. He has cycled around the world, rowed to the Arctic, and even completed a solo expedition in Africa in 2015, where he broke a world record by cycling from Cairo to Cape Town in 41 days and 10 hours.

A Rocco Forte Hotel, the menu is eponymously named the Rocco Forte Nourish menu and focuses on healthy fare. It forms part of the hotel group’s all-encompassing wellness scheme, which hopes to inspire guest to maintain a healthy routine. An ultra-endurance athlete, Mark was happy to get on board with such a scheme, citing nutrition as one of the most important elements in his training.

Delectable options on The Balmoral’s new menu include the avocado salad; Scottish smoked salmon accompanied by capers and shallots; and the superfruit salad, comprising goji berries, kaffir lime and a medley of exotic fruits. The menu also boasts a number of tempting juices and smoothies. The Bonnie Scotland is made with wild berries, flax seeds and tofu, while the Kick is infused with a pinch of chilli.

This new menu at The Balmoral can be enjoyed at breakfast-time in Hadrian’s Brasserie or in The Balmoral Spa, and can also be ordered to one’s room.
