Warner Leisure Hotels launches sleek new restaurant at this historic Nottinghamshire hall…
The end of last month saw the official opening of the new Blue Grill restaurant at Warner Leisure Hotels’ Thoresby Hall. The original Blue Room restaurant has undergone a 50k refurbishment and now boasts a contemporary new look that is still in line with the building’s Grade I listed original features. Of course, the delicate blue wallpaper still remains a key feature, and is now complemented by new furniture – including sociable booth-style seating – lighting and a modern bar, for a more fun and less formal dining experience.
Food-wise, you can expect a luxurious grill-style menu featuring some of the best beef in the country, including locally reared wagyu steak – which is prized for its unique flavour in its native Japan – or local beef from a West Yorkshire farm that has been run by the same family for 200 years.
It is a double celebration for Thoresby Hall this week, as its chefs were announced the winners of the annual Warner Leisure Hotels Culinary Team of the Year competition in association with Knorr and Unilever. Beating off stiff competition from the 13 other Warner properties, Thoresby stormed to victory with a mouth-watering three-course meal created from a mystery box of fresh ingredients.
