Season’s greetings (and a cocktail recipe) from the Fed Up & Drunk team…
Our Christmas pudding is prepared. Our cider is mulled. Christmas dinner is just around the corner. And here at Fed Up & Drunk HQ, the last few weeks of festive excitement have finally all become too much for us, so we’re feeling the need to go and have a lie down (of course, today’s office Christmas party may have something to do with that too). With that in mind, we’re all heading out of the office for two glorious tinsel-bedecked weeks of turkey, chocolate and a few too many glasses of Buck’s Fizz.
In the meantime, we’ve lined up a whole host of fun festive posts, from yet more last-minute ideas for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, to tips on undertaking the inevitable and fast-approaching post-December detox. Don’t forget to keep visiting the Fed Up & Drunk Advent Calendar for more hidden festive delights – and you can enter our competition all the way up until the stroke of midnight on Christmas Eve (at which point we will, of course, be fast asleep and waiting for Santa).
If, like us, you’re commencing the festivities and are in the mood to celebrate, why not join us for a few Friday night Snowballs? We think this easy recipe from the Good Food Channel will go down a treat!
1 handful ice cubes
2 shots advocaat
½ shot lime cordial
½ shot sherry
Lemonade, to top up
1. Fill a tall Tom Collins glass with ice cubes.
2. Pour in the advocaat, lime cordial and sherry then top up with lemonade.
3. Stir thoroughly and serve immediately.
All that’s left to say is Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at Fed Up & Drunk – here’s to more foodie fun in 2014!
