A series of summer soirees in a stunning Cornish setting…
St Austell winery Knightor has put together an exciting programme of events for visitors to enjoy this summer, all in a beautiful courtyard setting.
Adrian Derx, proprietor of Knightor, says: ‘The courtyard here provides such a lovely setting for concerts and outdoor dining. With this varied programme we are hopefully offering something for everyone. We’re hoping that this fine weather holds but, if it doesn’t, then we’ll simply move into the threshing barn and enjoy the evening just the same.’
The first of these entertaining evenings is taking place on Saturday 27th July, when the Spanish song duo Poniente will be delighting guests with their creative blend of flamenco and traditional Spanish melodies, with a few jazz and classical elements thrown in.
The performance starts at 6pm in the courtyard, with a further recital at 8pm in the threshing barn during dinner. To complete the Spanish experience, a selection of tapas, Spanish wines by the glass, Sangria and San Miguel on draught will be available, alongside Knightor’s new summer menu offering two courses for £19.50 or three for £25. What’s more, admittance is free, which means you’ll have more pennies to spend on Knightor’s excellent food and wines.
On Thursday 8th August visitors can expect more Spanish-themed indulgence, with an informal supper of seafood, meat and vegetarian paella, plus side dishes, all laid out buffet-style. Tickets are just £10 per person. As with the flamenco evening, guests can also order tapas dishes and authentic Spanish beverages, so you’ll feel as if you’re in sunny Andalucía in no time.
Francophiles will be pleased to hear that Knightor are also hosting a French cuisine evening on Friday 16th August, which will feature a selection of French dishes and wines served to a soundtrack from classic French music greats such as Edith Piaf. A three-course meal is on offer for just £25 (£30 if you’d like a Kir Royale to kick off your evening) while two courses are available for £19.50.
