What about taking dad out on the pull this Father’s Day? No, don’t panic, we’re talking about pulling ale at the award-winning Thames-side gastropub, The Gun, where a fantastic ale festival is taking place over Father’s Day weekend. Jam-packed with bombastic brews and fabulous food, the three-day festival in the gastropub’s covered, outdoor Gin Garden will feature beers and ciders from top London and UK brewers including the likes of Late Knights; Shamblemoose; Weird Beard Brew Co.; Adnams; Sambrooks and Harviestoun to name but a few.
Meet the Brewer sessions will give pops the chance to quiz the experts on the best brews around and there will be lawn games galore in the garden, which looks across the river to the O2. Advance tickets cost just £10 (£12 on the day) and will get dad five half pints – any of the beers or ales available on draught – and there will be plenty of hearty food to soak up the ale intake, from steaming dishes of paella to juicy hog-roast rolls. Don’t get caught on the hop for what to do with the old man this Father’s Day, book tickets with Vanessa at The Gun. Email [email protected] or call 020 7515 5222/07919 882 787.
