There’s a new and charmingly eccentric contraption on the confectionery scene – and it’s enough to make Wallace and Gromit green with envy. The Nitro Ice Cream Buggy is the brainchild of award-winning inventor and ice cream entrepreneur Charlie Harry Francis, and was created over the course of a year using parts from an Edwardian fire engine and an aeroplane. The first of its kind, the retro-style buggy uses a unique liquid nitrogen injection system to create delicious ice cream, on the spot, for up to 2000 people at indoor or outdoor events.

Dubbed the Willy Wonka of the ice cream world, Charlie is the founder of experimental ice cream company Lick Me I’m Delicious. This portable ice cream maker is their latest invention, and one that blends old and new by creating new, fantastic flavours while still keeping to the original family recipe. Lick Me I’m Delicious offer a complete custom flavour service, using their experimental development kitchen to create any flavour of ice cream you want!
