Traditional Thai food is good for your health and is made using very delicate processes, all designed to pack as much flavour as possible into this much-loved cuisine. The exotic taste of herbs and spices will remind you of long, lazy days on the beaches of Thailand. Of course not all of us can hop on a plane to South East Asia but you can recreate some of its culinary magic by frequenting a particularly good Thai restaurant.

Torquay's recent addition to the restaurant scene is The Thai Star, situated in the harbour. It certainly won't disappoint on flavour and the warmest of welcomes is extended as soon as you step foot through the door. Thai hospitality is well-known throughout the world and after even the briefest of visits to Thai Star you will understand why.

There is a wide variety of Thai food on the menu for you to enjoy, including green curry, tom yum soup and the delicate pad Thai.

There are also a number of vegetarian dishes so nobody needs to be disappointed by the selection on offer. The chefs at Thai Star have been handpicked and have over 15 years experience between them. They will truly amaze you with their creations and the way they carefully fuse spices and herbs together to tantalise your taste buds is an experience not to be missed.

There is no doubt that the decor and atmosphere at Thai Star will remind you of your last trip to Thailand. However, until you manage to visit that most laid-back of countries again, you can take comfort in knowing that Thai Star is there to jog your memory.
