The Sorn Inn is a gastropub and hotel that is rightly proud, not to mention deserving, of its outstanding number of awards and accolades. The restaurant and slightly less formal Chop House are the places to enjoy award-winning hospitality; The Sorn Inn has held two AA rosettes for six years (every year since the restaurant's launch in 2002), while Michelin has awarded the inn the 'Inspectors Choice' award, alongside only two other establishments in Scotland, and the inn has been awarded a Bib Gourmand for four years running.
With classic dishes served in a modern and refined fashion, chef Craig Grant has created an unfussy menu which changes weekly, incorporating the freshest seasonal produce sourced locally wherever possible. Authentic Scottish beef from Wm. Allan butchers is a highlight of the menu, while Sorn Inn classics include twists on old favourites such as cod and chips with batter made from the in-house real ale. Enhancing the menu further is fresh fish of the day, pasta and vegetarian options such as thyme and shallot polenta with a fricassee of wild mushrooms. On the drinking side of things, The Sorn Inn firmly believes in the importance of wine to the dining experience, and the ever-changing list showcases wines and Champagnes from around the world. There's every reason to enjoy without having to worry about driving home, because a number of comfortable en-suite rooms are available.
