Chefology @ The Golden Fleece
Chefology @ The Golden Fleece could not have a more idyllic setting, nestled in the rural surroundings of the Tame Valley overlooking the backdrop of Saddleworth Moor. The Golden Fleece offers two dining experiences: Upstairs @ The Gastropub and Downstairs @ The Italian.
The Gastropub offers mouth-watering British classics with a modern twist, presented in an informal atmosphere for a casual dining experience. All produce is sourced locally from a repertoire of loyal t rusted suppliers and the menu changes seasonally to offer the perfect seasonal fare all year round. What’s more, the food is great value for money, with a fantastic offer of two courses for £10 available Monday to Friday. The chef director has created a host of signature dishes which customers return for time and again: homemade steamed Lancashire rag pudding with real fat chips and rich braised steak gravy is a favourite, as well as beer-battered catch of the day with chips, ham hock, mushy peas and creamy tartare.
The Italian downstairs offers real home cooking, focusing on sourcing authentic Italian ingredients to create culinary masterpieces. Watch the chefs at work in the open theatre kitchen – all dishes are created to the customers’ individual requirements at all times. At lunchtime, why not sample a delicious pasta dish, with a glass of red or white wine, or fruit juice, to complement.
Chefology @ The Golden Fleece also incorporates a cookery school, which offers specially tailored cookery courses to suit your level of culinary skill. Opt for either personal or group tuition, available every weekend by pre-booking. On completion of the course, you even have the option to experience a night as a chef in the open theatre kitchen, under the guidance of Chefology’s talented kitchen team.
With great food, a relaxed atmosphere and even cookery training available, you simply must visit Chefology @ The Golden Fleece.
