The multi-award-winning White Hart Village Inn is a charming country pub and restaurant situated in the village of Llangybi within the picturesque Vale of Usk - a location renowned for its trout and salmon fishing. The historically rich interior still retains its original 12th-Century fireplaces, exposed beams and original Tudor plasterwork, and there's even a priest hole.

The White Hart is the ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern life for both a relaxing drink and superb food. The pub has attracted much media attention during the last couple of years, voted among the 'Top Ten in Wales' in the Good Food Channel's Local Food Heroes two years in a row. It has featured in the AA's Britain's Best Pubs and has been chosen to appear in Alastair Sawday's Pubs and Inns of England and Wales for 2010. Other accolades include 'Best Newcomer for Wales' at The Great British Pubs Awards for 2008, and 'Gastropub of the Year' two years running at the V-Awards - and this year the pub received the 'Restaurant of the Year Award' in the Living Wales' A.C.E. (Awarding Culinary Excellence) Awards.

With fresh local meat and seafood delivered daily, the chefs here have been consistently creating wonderful dishes to whet your appetite for the last three years. A modern European style now dominates, heavily influenced by the rich flavours and aromas of Italian cooking. A daily specials board adds yet further choice, overflowing with enticing dishes prepared with the finest seasonal produce. The fabulous experience is completed with a selection of homemade gourmet puddings and fresh coffees. And if you're in no hurry to leave, grab a newspaper and a spot by the 15th- Century fireplace - but be quick, these seats never stay empty for long.

The recent addition of tasteful and luxurious accommodation in this wonderful location sets The White Hart Village Inn apart as the perfect place for a weekend break.
