Overlooking the Penshaw monument on the main A183 road from Sunderland, The Country Park Inn boasts the freshest food in town. The pub reopened in December 2008 under new management and has since gone from strength to strength with a strong, dedicated and friendly team working hard to strive for ultimate customer satisfaction.

This bustling pub serves food all day every day, in a spacious and welcoming environment, and offers a range of traditional dishes and chef’s specials. Fresh food is prepared daily (the chefs here simply do not believe in freezers) and all the dishes are displayed on blackboards. If you love your Sunday lunch, The Country Park Inn is a must, boasting the biggest and best Yorkshire puddings in the area. With a great family atmosphere, this is the perfect place to bring kids and grandparents alike. What’s more, they cater for christenings and funerals and run a fab outside catering service.

The sociable bar area boasts a pool table, darts board and a huge, crackling open fire. All sporting events are shown on flat screens around the bar and on their big screen. During the football season you won’t go hungry – fresh half-time food is served for free. If you love The Country Park Inn as much as we do, you can keep up to date with them on Facebook.
