Named Hertfordshire's 'Dining Pub of the Year 2008' by The Good Pub Guide, this 18th-Century listed, ivy-clad and flint-built treasure is situated in the southwest corner of the beautiful Chiltern Hills, a few minutes from the M25.

At The Bricklayers Arms you'll find low oak-beamed ceilings, a fireplace and a lovely garden and terrace, but what sets it apart is its amazing reputation for fine food. Accolades have come thick and fast, including: AA Pub Guide 2008 'Pick of The Pubs'; it was twice awarded The Publican Food Awards 'Chef of the Year' and 'Freehouse of the Year' finalist award; not to mention a prestigious recommendation in the much coveted Michelin Guide 2008. The excellent traditional British and French fusion menu makes the most of locally-sourced produce and ingredients, and includes dishes such as home-smoked duck with foie gras mi-cuit shavings, and smoked fish plates - all fish is smoked on the premises - while a number of daily specials complement the main menu.

This destination pub is popular with food lovers, walkers and riders, boasting authentic food, local ales and a wine list of over 140. With fabulous food and drink at reasonable prices, The Bricklayers Arms rings with the quiet buzz of success.
