The Swan Inn is a perfect example of just how good a village pub can be, with a warm welcoming atmosphere aided by soft lighting and comfortable sofas. This is a pub in the traditional sense of the word, with some surprising features.

There is a sensational large garden for alfresco dining, which incorporates a barbecue – perfect for private and corporate hire. The restaurant is tastefully dressed and is an ideal venue for functions and special occasions. You can also enjoy live music from time to time, or come away with a newly acquired treasure from the large range of antiques and collectables on sale. The Swan Inn serves great unpretentious, homecooked pub food, created in the kitchen using produce sourced locally wherever possible, or from top-quality suppliers such as Just Rachel. Portions are generous and you can choose anything from hearty soups and lamb hotpot to beautiful grilled lemon sole and a locally renowned range of fantastic 18-day-hung steaks. There is a traditional roast on Sundays and plenty of options for vegetarians and children.

The pub has a range of reasonably priced, very drinkable wines, with some available by the glass. It also possesses a well-deserved certificate of excellence from Cask Marque for its real ales, as well as a spot in the 2010 Good Pub Guide. Slick service, smiling staff and sensational food await you at The Swan Inn.
