For an extra £10, you can upgrade to the luxury high tea, which features gourmet sandwiches, fruit scones and more. Alternatively, the deli board delivers savoury treats like olives, hummus and cold meats, and there’s always a hearty stew or pasta of some sort simmering away in the kitchen.

If you have a hen do to celebrate, the café can be your very own princessdom, as vintage cups of Champagne are laid before you. The tearoom also has its own vintage crockery hire service – while you browse the chinaware, owner Kirsty Fitzgerald will make you tea and feed you scrumptious cake. An absolute delight.
