Red Onion provides a relaxing dining experience and is conveniently located in Glasgow's city centre, making it the perfect retreat for shoppers, local business regulars and visitors to the city alike. A muchloved family-run business with a modern, comfortable design and relaxed and informal service, Red Onion has the feel of your local neighbourhood bistro.

Owner John Quigley- who was private chef to Bryan Adams, Tina Turner and the Bee Gees - believes in combining the finest local produce available with the exotic flavours and ingredients he has experienced on his extensive travels around the world. Confidently cooking unfussy dishes that people know and love, the kitchen produces modern interpretations of classic Scottish cooking, such as local lamb braised in Innes and Gunn oak-aged beer, and pea and ham soup served with hot buttered soda bread. Dishes from around the world include king prawn tempura, sitting alongside roast shellfish spaghetti and Chinese-inspired roast Gressingham duck. And no visit would be complete without sampling the now legendary frozen raspberries with hot, white chocolate sauce. The wine list reflects the menu with a mixture of Old and New World wines. There are five very affordable red and white wines by the glass, plus some top-enders for the more discerning palate. Red Onion is simply buzzing with customers enjoying good food and wine. And, considering the slick service, quality produce and generous portions, the prices are as surprising and delightful as the dining experience itself.
