Paperino's West End
This was the second restaurant opened by brothers Stefano and Sandro Giovanazzi, following the huge success of their city centre branch. In the heart of the West End district of Glasgow, this eatery is very much a part of the community in this lively neighbourhood. Encouraging relaxed dining, Paperino's is a hub of great food and convivial atmosphere. From the à la carte menu, don't miss out on the house speciality, penne Valterese - a well-balanced dish of pasta tubes with homemade pesto, tomato and cream. The insalata Siciliana, a salad of fresh oranges with pine nuts and rocket, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, just radiates Mediterranean sunshine. A truly Italian finale to the meal is a boozy grappa, on its own or with coffee. The restaurant is also specifically designed with families in mind, with specialist baby-changing areas, a yummy menu just for the 'bambinos' and all dishes on the à la carte menu available in half portions.
Paperino's To Go is another fantastic venture from this enterprise, offering all the great quality found in the restaurant to take away, with salads, pastas, meat dishes and fresh pizzas. In the morning, grab a much-needed coffee, bagel or full Scottish breakfast to go. Serving many of the hungry students of the West End, this is a fresh, quality revolution in takeaway outlets - and those lucky students get ten per cent off.
