Open for nearly two decades and now a familiar part of Glasgow's city centre restaurant scene, Paperino's has led the way in casual yet sophisticated Italian dining. A large and varied clientele buys into owners Stefano and Sandro Giovanazzi's vision of relaxed eating and authentic Italian food. The emphasis here is on letting the food speak for itself, and taking the time to appreciate the quality ingredients and loving preparation that go into it. When dining at Paperino's, you can expect to have your meal entirely freshly prepared for you - Stefano is refreshingly unwavering in his belief that waiting a few moments longer for a meal is superior to sacrificing flavour and quality by having pre-prepared food in the kitchen.

The experience and expertise of Paperino's Italian-born chef is evident in every dish. If you choose to sample one of the hand-stretched pizzas, you shouldn't miss out on the Paperino, topped with mozzarella, goat's cheese, roasted peppers and artichokes; or go for something a little different such as the calzone San Paolo - a folded pizza base filled with creamy ricotta cheese, Italian sausage and a rich tomato sauce. The desserts here are something special; try the legendary cheesecake of the day, or indulge in a tiramisu - layers of coffee and zabaglione cream on liqueur-soaked sponge, dusted with cocoa powder. On top of all this, the welcoming staff will make your meal a thoroughly pleasant one, so don't miss out on this Italian gem.
