Filling Station - Bath Street
Location: 46 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 1HG [map]
Phone: 0844 683 0823
Open: Mon-Sun 9am-11pm

Step into either of the Filling Station branches in Glasgow, and the first thing that will hit you is the unique atmosphere. As your friendly server greets you and leads you to your table, you’ll see fellow guests tapping their feet to the restaurant’s soulful and funky soundtrack as they tuck into their well-stacked dishes. You’ll also see walls adorned with retro motoring memorabilia, from classic posters to hub caps and grilles salvaged from American automobiles.

Just one word is needed to sum up what will hit you next – choice. Filling Station’s menu offers a wide selection of burgers, fajitas, grills, pasta, pizza, salads, sandwiches and more. The main inspiration has been drawn from the United States – coast to coast – with dishes including Philly steak wrap and Californian classic pizza. The burgers deserve special mention – there are over ten to choose from, including the chilli special burger and the bacon and cheese burger, all served on a large toasted bun with house fries and a spicy ketchup dip. And don’t forget the fajitas – choose from chicken, steak or prawn – which always turn heads as they’re brought sizzling from the kitchen. Breakfast is available all day, with everything from simple toast and butter to a traditional Scottish breakfast with all the trimmings to choose from.

It might sound somewhat clichéd to say that there’s something for everyone, but at Filling Station it’s true – a variety of vegetarian dishes is available and, in addition to the above menus, kids have their own menu too.

Finally, it would be criminal not to mention the bar at Filling Station. In addition to a selection of wines, beers and spirits, there’s the hugely popular cocktail menu – with everything from Mojitos and Moscow Mules to the fruity Zoom! and Melon Mai Tai on the list, you’ll enjoy choosing your cocktail as much as you will drinking it.
