Glasgow’s top Turkish dining spot, Alla Turca, transports you straight from chilly Glasgow to Istanbul thanks to its traditional dishes, authentic decor and captivating atmosphere. The rich and diverse food here will have you counting this exciting and mysterious cuisine among your favourites, and the dedicated staff with years of experience help further to create a truly memorable experience.

Live music, Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm, is courtesy of soulful performer Armagan Alakus, who effortlessly adds to the relaxing ambience. To start, choose from a variety of classic and unusual mezes, from the simple but delicious kisir – with mixed peppers, parsley, couscous and nuts – to the exquisite grilled swordfish accompanied by salad drizzled with the chef’s secret dressing. To follow, choose from traditional Turkish favourites and dishes specific to Istanbul, along with Alla Turca’s own signature dishes. Barbecued finest Scottish beef shish is the chef’s special – comprising barbecued Aberdeen Angus beef on skewers served with creamy chestnut casserole and a mosaic of new potatoes. Vegetarian options, including delectable dishes like pine-nut-and-feta-stuffed aubergine, will even have meat-eaters finding themselves swayed. And additional offerings of authentic geleneksel, tasting and pretheatre menus, will leave you wanting to come back for more and more of Alla Turca’s wonderfully unique cuisine.
