The Street Glynde Lewes East Sussex BN8 6SS
An impressively large building situated in the beautiful village of Glynde and set just past the railway station, The Trevor Arms is a perfect mix of the old and the new, boasting a huge garden and lovely countryside views. Proprietors Rob and Jo have been injecting vitality into this late 19th-Century building from the minute they took the helm at the beginning of 2010.

Rob and Jo's core menu highlights a selection of personalised dishes with additional daily specials providing even more choice. You'll find traditional pub fare, such as locally caught fish in beer batter and homemade burgers, all served in generous portions with delicious well-considered accompaniments - everything is homemade using the freshest produce. But it is the specials here that set the food apart. I was lucky enough to experience a wonderfully flavoured braised Moroccan off-the-bone mutton pie. Bursting with flavour and topped with a pie crust that was a delicate delight, this was a perfectly balanced, superbly cooked meal. There is good reason why The Trevor Arms has stood strong for over 200 years; it is everything you could wish for in a country pub restaurant. Easily accessible from nearby Lewes, Eastbourne and Brighton, The Trevor Arms' friendly and attentive service, great beer and kitchen dedicated to producing food with care and attention culminate in a wonderful and relaxing Sussex countryside dining experience.
