International Starters is very much a family restaurant, founded by brothers Jamie and Fraser Coyle all the way back in April 2000. It has been going from strength to strength ever since, never failing to impress with its unique redbrick arches, sandstone pillars, circular tables and high-backed chairs.

The menu itself is an exciting and original concept, focusing on cuisine from four of the most influential areas in the world: the Americas, the Mediterranean, Asia and, of course, Scotland. Staying true to its name, the restaurant serves all dishes in the style of a starter. The idea is to pick two or three dishes each, and then share with the rest of your group – presenting the opportunity for everyone to experience a range of cuisine from across the globe. The dishes arrive at your table gradually throughout your visit, allowing for a more sociable and relaxed eating experience, and meaning you can savour the fantastic flavours at your own pace.

Each dish is created with International Starters’ own unique spin, using recipes that have been gathered by friends and family who have travelled the globe, or from treasured Coyle family techniques. Each and every starter is created in their own kitchen using only their own unique recipes, meaning International Starters provides an experience unlike any other – deliciously different.
