Chatters
All too often restaurants place so much emphasis on food that they forget people choose to eat out for the collective experience. Chatters, however, has been getting the formula right since 1991, and is now recognised as one of the finest dining experiences in Scotland. The menu features the best of Scottish produce, including hand-dived scallops from Loch Fyne and saddle of local venison with a light game jus. The wine list sports a selection of over 40 wines hand-selected by owner Rosie MacInnes herself. Time and effort is put into cooking every single dish from fresh, so you can relax with an aperitif in the conservatory, or leisurely peruse the current art exhibition while you wait. But the pièce de résistance has to be Chatters’ famous homemade puddings. Repeatedly described as ‘unforgettable’ are such offerings as fresh fruit Pavlova and dark chocolate torte. If you’re looking to share some special moments with family and friends, Chatters will make them all the more memorable.
