In a picture-perfect village just a stone’s throw from the A48 between Bridgend and Cowbridge sits The Sycamore Tree. A 17th-Century inn run by David and Joanna Frost, the pub welcomes ramblers, horse-riders, dog-walkers, visitors and villagers, and boasts cosy log fires and a comfortable sofa in the lounge area. The kitchen team serve top-quality home-cooked fare and Sunday lunches, taking care to cater for those with special dietary requirements. Much of the produce is locally sourced, including Aberdeen Angus steak from the village farm. Favourite mains include the homemade steak and ale pie and the beer-battered fish and chips. Popular desserts include moreish apple crumble and custard and sticky toffee pudding. The bar stocks a range of drinks, including guest ales, Brains cask ales and Peroni lager.
