McLean took hold of the reigns at the Masonic Arms Inn in November 2010, and he has successfully retained the pub’s historic charm whilst adding a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. Relax and soak up the friendly environment in the intimate bar while perusing the pub’s excellent and thoughtfully created menu. For starters, you may wish to indulge in the haggis-and-tattie scone tower, or the goat’s cheese and roast vegetable tart. You’ll be hard pressed to choose a main, but the homemade macaroni cheese is always a sure-fire winner. All this can be enjoyed in either the beamed bar, the traditional restaurant or the Mediterranean-style conservatory.

Not only a superb food and drink pub, the Masonic Arms is a social hub, offering recreational evenings during the week; they include dominoes nights, pie-and-pint nights on Tuesdays, a quiz every Wednesday and music evenings each Thursday.
