Step into Thai Edge and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of traditional Thailand combined with upbeat modernism. Here beautiful Oriental statues adorn the restaurant, complemented by contemporary whitewashed walls.

The menu offers an array of options; we chose the Thai Edge Special Menu to start. This comprised crispy spring rolls, fishcakes, prawn rolls and grilled satay chicken. We also tried the spicy prawn soup on the manager’s recommendation and it is now a personal favourite, thanks to its delicate spicy flavour and abundance of juicy prawns. We followed this with dishes of stir-fried tiger prawns and deep-fried snapper. Both dishes were sublime and cooked to perfection.

For dessert we tried mango with sticky coconut rice, coconut cream and mango ice cream – it was so delicious that a second portion wouldn’t have been out of the question. Other tempting sweets included mango cheesecake and cappuccino bombe – a coffee ice cream with a wicked chocolate sauce centre. There’s also an extensive drinks menu on offer, featuring cocktails, beer and wine, as well as liqueurs and cognacs, so you’re sure to find something to suit your mood. Finishing our stunning meal with a jasmine tea and a cappuccino, we agreed that we would definitely be back soon.
