Canton, Cardiff
La Lupa
Take a 15-minute walk west from Cardiff Castle, and you’ll stumble across this welcoming and well-established Italian restaurant. Family-run La Lupa opened in 1992, and has rightfully become very popular with local residents as well as food lovers from across the city and South Wales.
Your host Roberto, originally from Rome, takes pride in using fresh ingredients every day. He has put his passion and many years of experience into creating a unique and appetising menu, which will make your dining decisions very difficult to make. We highly recommend trying Roberto’s speciality of the day, or something from the fresh fish selection, followed by one of the delicious desserts that are made on the premises.
La Lupa is a cosy, rustic restaurant with a lovely atmosphere perfect for any occasion – whether a romantic meal for two, a special family celebration, or just a quick meal out as a treat after a long week at work. Check the website for fantastic special deals, which are offered for lunchtime and evening dining, and feel free to take the family along – children of any age are more than welcome, and highchairs are provided. Booking is recommended, especially at the weekend. You wouldn’t want to miss out on this slice of Italy in South Wales.
