If you are a genuine enthusiast of pan-Indian and Asian sub-continent cuisine, then a visit to any Empire Group restaurant is a must. This collection of five up-market Asian brasseries joined forces almost three years ago to form a unique restaurant association with one goal in mind - to raise the standard of Asian cuisine. They are certainly achieving this, winning no less than three culinary awards in the last 36 months, including the South Wales Echo 'Indian Restaurant of the Year' and the South Wales Argus 'Indian Restaurant of the Year'.

Every Empire Group restaurant offers chic, contemporary décor complemented by modern artwork and subtle lighting, combining to create a wonderful, relaxed setting in which to enjoy a mind-blowing selection of the very best that pan-Asian and Bangladeshi cuisine has to offer.

The wonderful thing about the Empire Group is that each restaurant manages to offer something just that little bit different from the other. Whilst each head chef has his own special signature dish that reflects personal character and individuality, they work together, pooling their expertise to ensure that the breadth and depth of Indian cuisine is faithfully represented. Meticulous planning and attention to detail is the secret behind the ability of the Empire Group to create some truly delicious offerings.

For starters, try the Baharee Chingari, sizzling shell of whole king prawn served with onion and green pepper. Amongst the main course dishes, order the wonderful Captain Pathila - tender strips of chicken or lamb prepared with a blend of aromatic spices and herbs, including coriander, mint, garlic and yoghurt served in a rich, tangy sauce. Flavours are as subtle and aromatic, or as hot and spicy, as you wish. The full spectrum of tastes are catered for, regardless of which Empire Group restaurant you decide to visit, and you might even see a celebrity or two - recent diners include Mick Hucknell of Simply Red and Wales' First Minister, Rhodri Morgan. Last year, the Balti Empire hosted an official visit to Cardiff by the British High Commissioner to Bangladesh - high praise indeed.

But don't just think of the Empire Group for a quiet dinner for two. Each outlet specialises in large bookings and regularly caters for weddings, corporate sports hospitality, and even Bollywood film shoots. Seating at the restaurants goes from two to 250, and for outside catering the Empire Group can cater for up to 2,000 plus.

Flexibility, award-winning cuisine, and first-class service ensure that the Empire Experience is one to savour and enjoy again and again. Try all five - you'll enjoy the journey.
