You don’t have to visit a show in Wales Millennium Centre to enjoy ffresh – the home of great Welsh food and drink. The success of a series of Michelin-starred guest chefs gracing the kitchen has contributed to ffresh Restaurant firmly establishing itself on the Cardiff scene, earning itself a listing in The Good Food Guide and recognition from the Wales The True Taste initiative.

Chef Kurt Fleming and his team share a real passion for modern cooking, using the freshest local ingredients and award-winning Welsh produce. Consultant chef Shaun Hill adds his ideas to the varied and affordable menus which reflect the availability of seasonal produce. The set menus start at £15.50 for a twocourse lunch and the relaxing traditional Sunday lunch experience is definitely one for the whole family. Some of the dishes that you will find on the menu include grilled red mullet with anchovies, soft herbs and creme fraiche, grilled plaice with oxtail, wild mushrooms and white truffle foam and bread and butter pudding with Baravelli’s lemon and Brecon gin marmalade. If you are visiting Wales Millennium Centre for a show or perhaps an event in Cardiff Bay, a preshow supper (served between 5pm and 7pm) is just the thing.

You’ll find ffresh Bar is a relaxing place to meet friends or business colleagues or to check your emails using the Wi-Fiservice. Great bar food and a wide-ranging menu of Welsh wines, beers and seasonal cocktails can be enjoyed inside, in the warmth of the contemporary bar, or outside on sunny days. Sit back and share a delicious platter of meats, fish, cheeses or perhaps a handmade pizza, or simply relax with a glass of wine and a bowl of olives (served from midday until 7pm).

Described by The Guardian as ‘a lovely place... cracking value’, this excellent restaurant and bar is also available for private dining and functions and you can check out ffresh’s website for new menus and exciting events. For a true taste of Wales in stylish surroundings, and in the heart of Cardiff Bay, don’t miss this fantastic find.
