Step into Demiros in the heart of Cardiff Bay and enter a lively, buzzing hideaway brimming with Welsh, Italian and
Spanish influences. There's something for everyone with a menu that spans all three countries.

The modern interior combines stripped wood floors with white walls and chic black leather furniture interspersed with splashes of red. Popular with groups and business people the menu is as diverse and interesting as the clientele.

We started with the crispy squid rings with lemon oil dressing and steamed asparagus with hollandaise sauce both of which came creatively presented and full of flavour. Other offerings included grilled polenta with sautéed mushrooms and Gorgonzola toasted bread and king prawns in garlic butter. Choosing from the main menu was a tricky task, so temptingly described was each item available. We eventually opted for the healthy option of filleted sea bass with parsley butter and new potatoes (simply divine) and breast of chicken stuffed with basil, mozzarella cheese and wrapped in Spanish ham - smothered in a cheese sauce.

Other tempting options included a whole range of steaks (fillet, T-bone, rib-eye and sirloin), breast of duck, C a rmarthenshire chicken, filleted Welsh lamb and a full selection of exotic sounding pizzas and pasta.
Starters range from £2.50 to £7.95, Mains from £12.95 to £17.95 and desserts from £4.50. We were glad we saved just a little bit of our appetite for the amazing chocolate fountain. The Belgian chocolate did not disappoint as we dipped our skewers of marshmallows, bananas and pineapple under the cascading waterfall. We accompanied this with a white chocolate and strawberry truffle mousse, which was equally wicked. Also on offer were tiramisu, chocolate fudge cake and for savoury lovers, cheese and biscuits.
