The menu which Norma and head chef Stuart Bevan together compile, is an eclectic mix. Quietly uncomplicated and sophisticated dishes, which would not be out of place on the menu at a top London restaurant, are created using only locally bought, often organic meat and fish. No shop bought frozen sweets and puddings here, every dessert is a real work of art - almost too good to cut into. Old-fashioned favourites like spotted dick, treacle sponge pudding and pear and apple crumble served with real vanilla pod custard, also feature - yum.
