Ducks at Kilspindie House is all about hospitality; crisp white linen, candles and a cocktail bar make up the stylish interior of their main restaurant. The menu consists of five starters, five main courses, four desserts (or cheese) and is altered in keeping with the ever-changing seasons.

Ducks' wine list is renowned, with good-value house wines alongside classics such as 61 Chateau Lafite Rothschild - there are also at least 75 whiskies on the shelf of the intimate and cosy bar. The fine dining restaurant also shares its kitchen with Donald's bistro, situated next door, Donald's being the more relaxed of the two, to bring you a more casual meal in the sound knowledge that it has been freshly prepared with all the ingredients you would find in the fine dining restaurant. This unique set up allows the diner to be assured of fine quality food, with a choice of venues in which to enjoy it. With three different areas for relaxed outside dining, you can enjoy summer in style. Forget newspaper and cardboard forks and tuck into gourmet fish and chips washed down with 2003 Pommard. Seafood at Ducks comes straight from sea to plate, with head chef Johnny Dunbar maintaining a close relationship with local boats in Port Seton. This passion for local produce can be seen throughout the menu, with local Scottish suppliers providing many of the ingredients. Ducks is a restaurant with rooms, and there are over 26 available, making this place an ideal base from which to discover Edinburgh and the Lothians. East Lothian itself is a golf and bird-watching paradise; there are 22 golf courses within a 15-minute drive of Ducks, and nearby Aberlady Bay hosts a superb nature reserve with 30,000 geese arriving each October to join the myriad of others in the bay. Ducks at Kilspindie offers the diner the perfect opportunity to sample some fine cuisine, surrounded by gorgeous Scottish countryside.
